The verdict is out! Farmhouse trends are still having a strong moment in the marketplace. Chances are they look a little different this year as they continue to evolve into something…. more sophisticated? There is definitely less animal humor and whimsy coming to market. New farmhouse trends are ditching the “fresh bread” and “home sweet home” signage we so so much of last year. More focus is being put on rustic elements, visual texture, and sentiments that focus more on uplifting phrases.
The country-chic designs we are so familiar with are getting a much-needed renovation, so plan to see much more modern pieces and designs playing an important role. Also, we should see more neutral tones coming into play, like beige and charcoal grays. Texture will be an important trend shift in this trend moving forward.
