Stoneware is non-porous ceramic dinnerware made from stoneware clay. It is fired at a temperature between 2150 and 2330 degrees Fahrenheit. It is thicker than other dinnerware. Ceramicware is the earthenware made of porous clay fired at low heat between 1,832 to 2,102 degrees.

Ceramics are more and more seen as an art piece in the home. Unique pieces are quickly gaining in stature both as an art form and as a good alternative investment for collectors.
