I swear, a decade ago not nearly this much emphasis or detail was put into woodgrain finishes in home decor. But It’s not a bad thing! As we think more about sustainability, we are hyper-focused on what woods we are sourcing globally for products we develop for market. Since sourcing materials is so much more important now, we have to pay much more attention to the weight, density, and finishes we develop for customers. Even the chemicals used for finishes can make a difference, which really highlights why I think we are catering more to raw unfinished woodgrains right now.

Below are just a few of my favorite finishes I am seeing right now. Velvety matte finishes in warm woodgrains are definitely at the top of the market right now!
